Sorokin stopped 17 of 18 shots in CSKA Moscow's (KHL) 3-1 win over Salavat Yulaev on Saturday.

It was the first start of the season for the reigning KHL Goaltender of the Year. A third-round pick of the Islanders in 2014, the 21-year-old Sorokin posted a 1.06 GAA and .953 save percentage in 28 games last season. He has developed into one of the best goaltending prospects in the entire league, seemingly out of nowhere. Islanders General Manager Garth Snow needs to get Sorokin over to North America ASAP.
