Richards has been talking about coming back and possibly willing to taking a reduced salary for 2015-16, CSN Chicago reports. Richards made $2 million this past season and is an unrestricted free agent. If he does want to come back, he probably would have to accept less than $2 million and possibly slighted above the NHL minimum depending on the new salary cap. Richards' numbers dropped steadily during the regular season where he only had eight points from February 1 to the end, and finished with 12 goals and 25 assists in 76 games which is his worst output for a full season. A reason that the Blackhawks might bring him back is his playoff performance. Richards was stellar with three goals and 11 assists in 23 games including a pair of assists in the Stanley Cup Finals' clinching game.
