Poulin was claimed off of waivers by the Lightning on Sunday, Isles' beat writer Arthur Staple reports.

Poulin was expected to clear waivers and head to AHL Bridgeport, but the Lightning decided to take a chance on him. He spent the majority of the 2014-15 season in the AHL, going 16-21-0 with a 2.87 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 45 games. He offers the Lightning depth at the goalie position.
