Pittsburgh Penguins place Tom Kostopoulos on waivers. The Pens signed Kostopoulos to a two-way contract Monday and needed to place him on waivers before assigning the winger to their AHL affiliate. He had three goals and seven points in 17 AHL games thus far this season.
