Perron scored a third-period goal in the Blues' 4-3 overtime win over the Stars. He has a point in eight straight games.
EDGE Analysis
Perron, like many of the Blues forwards expected to generate offense, had been silent during a 12-game, team-wide scoring malaise, but he's been front-and-center in the team's resurgence. Over the last eight games, St. Louis has averaged 3.6 goals and Perron has recorded 11 points (three goals, eight assists) during that run. Most of his production has come while skating on a line with Jaden Schwartz and Paul Stastny, a spot that had been home to Alexander Steen before he missed six games due to an upper-body injury. As Steen nears a return -- he's practicing but not yet a full participant -- we'll see if coach Ken Hitchcock returns Perron to the third line, which has produced little offense through the first 23 games.
