Pavelec surrendered four goals on 34 shots in Wednesday's series-ending loss to the Ducks. The Jets needed Pavelec to replicate his sensational second-half play during the series to have any shot of upsetting the powerful Ducks, but he just couldn't come through. Pavelec gave up four-plus goals three times against the Ducks, and his offense simply wasn't able to pick him up. Fantasy players will have the difficult task next season of assessing whether Pavelec's improved performance in 2014-15 marked a step in the right direction, or merely an aberration for a goalie who owns an ugly 2.86 GAA and .908 save percentage over his career. His postseason play seemed to suggest it's the latter.
