Nyquist received just 12:14 of ice time and didn't register a shot on goal Wednesday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old winger recorded an assist in each of the first three games of the season and received 17:06 of ice time on opening night. But shockingly, Nyquist's minutes have declined in each of the following three games. It's a confusing trend that extends back to last year, and the dwindling ice time is a legitimate concern. Nyquist scored 55 goals through 139 games during a two-year stretch before head coach Jeff Blashill took over, but the current bench boss hasn't utilized Nyquist as frequently as fantasy owners would like.
