Nabokov officially passed through waivers unclaimed Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Nabokov was placed on waiver by the Lightning on Sunday after struggling to the tune of a 3.15 GAA and .882 save percentage over 11 games. The 39-year-old will likely refuse an assignment to the minors, though that isn't guaranteed. If he does, it would make him a free agent with the ability to sign wherever he likes, assuming he wants to continue.
