Miller will serve as the backup goalie for Wednesday's playoff opener against the Flames, as Eddie Lack makes the start, Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun reports. Miller returned from a seven-week absence due to a knee injury to start Saturday's regular-season finale against the Oilers. A strong turn in goal might have resulted in him earning the nod for Game 1 of the postseason, but he was only able to turn away 23 of 28 shots before escaping with the overtime win. Since Miller wasn't overwhelmingly impressive this season before his return from injury, coach Willie Desjardins opted to stick with Lack, who guided the Canucks to the playoffs while Miller was sidelined. Nonetheless, Lack's overall numbers weren't dramatically better than Miller's, so both goalies could see a fair amount of work throughout the first round.
