Lindback will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Penguins. Matt Hackett was a candidate to draw a start for the season finale, but since he has only recently recovered from a bout with knee soreness, the Sabres decided it was for the best to stick with Lindback a second straight night. The loss to the Blue Jackets on Friday guaranteed that the Sabres would finish with the league's worst record, so there's plenty of incentive for Lindback and his mates to turn in a competitive performance Saturday, especially if it means preventing the visiting Penguins from reaching the playoffs. That being said, the Sabres don't match up favorably with the Penguins in the talent department, which will most likely force Lindback to end the season on a losing note.
