Kassian will not require offseason surgery to deal with the back issue that kept him out of the Vancouver lineup down the stretch. Kassian, who last suited up on March 14, now has the offseason for his back issue to settle down. In 42 games this past season, he notched 10 goals, 16 points and 81 PIM. He remains under contract with Vancouver next season at a cap hit of of $1.75 million.
