Kane (ribs), who was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, trespass and noncriminal harassment in July, will have the charges dropped if he stays out of legal trouble for six months, the Democrat & Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The incident that led to the charges, which occurred in June, was the second time Kane had a brush with the law in just his first year with the Sabres. The power forward has a reputation for being a distraction off the ice, which is also believed to be the reason he was dealt by the Jets. Kane is currently sidelined with broken ribs suffered in the first game of the season, and has never played a full 82-game schedule. He's an immensely talented player, and hopefully with the legal issues behind him, he can improve on last year's 20-goal season.
