Josefson (illness) has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Dec. 27. The Devils haven't said that Josefson is dealing with mumps, but such a diagnosis wouldn't be surprising. Stephen Gionta is also headed to injured reserve because of an illness, while Mike Sislo has been recalled from AHL Albany.
