Jochen Hecht may miss the start of the regular season due to a possible concussion. "It's a possibility, a small amount of concern right now," said coach Lindy Ruff. "I wouldn't think we'll put it that we're there yet." The Sabres have not confirmed what he is suffering from, but it has kept him out of practice and it's suspected to be concussion-related. Ruff did say that Hecht will accompany the team on their trip to Europe where they are scheduled to play Adler Mannheim in Germany on Oct. 4 in a preseason match-up. Stay tuned.
