Hedman (lower body) said after Saturday's morning skate that he hopes to return to the lineup for next Thursday's game against the Devils, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports. Hedman didn't take the ice Saturday until after the team's healthy regulars had departed, but he hopes to join the squad for practice beginning Tuesday. The blueliner noted after his rigorous skating session that it was the best he's felt since sustaining the injury earlier in the week against the Canadiens. Some bad luck on the injury front has ruined what might have been a Norris Trophy-worthy season for Hedman, who has accumulated 10 goals, 37 points, and a plus-12 rating over 57 games.
