Hedman led the charge Thursday with two power-play assists in a 6-4 win over Detroit.

The team is working hard to improve its power play and the fruits of that labour showed on Opening Night with three goals. Hedman will be a beneficiary of that improvement -- just 11 of his 47 points there last season came with the man advantage.
