Hanzal missed four games between Dec. 8 and Dec. 17 with a lower-body injury, but returned against the Islanders exactly one week ago, logging 15:05 of ice time. However, he was unable to face the Maple Leafs in the last game before the holiday break, as it's widely believed that he's still hampered by that original lower-body ailment. Injuries are to Hanzal what blue is to the sky, and he probably knows exactly what it takes to work his way back onto the ice. The Coyotes go right back to work Sunday against the Avalanche, so look for the team to update his availability prior to that game.
