Halak (illness) is questionable to play Thursday versus the Rangers, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Coach Jack Capuano has stated that he will get a better read Wednesday as to whether or not Halak will be able to play in the season opener Thursday. The good news is that no injury is involved. Halak did suffer an injury in camp last season that cost him some playing time. That doesn't seem to be the case here as the worst case scenario would seem to have him miss just the one game.
