Greene went scoreless without so much as a shot on goal over 17:59 in Tuesday's win over Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
It was his lowest ice time of the year after he cleared 22 minutes in the first two games, but Greene picked up a couple hits and blocks while playing his typical defensively oriented style. His stats have dropped steadily since his career-best 32 points in 2013-14, with last year's meager 13 points particularly ugly. The one thing Greene does offer the Devils on a day-to-day basis other than his commitment to blocking shots is consistency and durability: He hasn't missed a game in any of the last four seasons and has finished with a positive rating in five straight campaigns.
