Greene (shoulder) will not play Thursday for Game 1 against the Sharks, CSN Bay Area reports.

No surprise here, as Greene has been out since Oct. 16. He underwent shoulder surgery on Dec. 3 and apparently is still in recovery mode. The veteran shutdown defenseman will cost the Kings $5 million over the next two seasons, so suffice it to say, the Kings will hope he can make a full recovery sooner than later.
