Ennis registered an assist and the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-3 triumph over the Hurricanes. It seemed highly improbable that Ennis' goal would hold up as the game-winner after his tally gave the team a 4-0 lead, but nothing ever seems to come easy for the Sabres, who nearly squandered the sizable advantage. With 20 goals and 45 points on the campaign, Ennis has delivered production similar to a year ago, but he's still miscast as a leading scorer for the team. He may finally have some support in 2015-16, when either of the two top prospects in the upcoming draft, Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel, are expected to land in Buffalo.
