Elliott was yanked after allowing four goals on 16 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Wild on Saturday. This was Elliott's third consecutive start as coach Ken Hitchcock was rewarding him for allowing just a single goal in the previous two starts against Winnipeg and Calgary. Despite strong ratios (.921 save percentage, 2.16 GAA), Elliott has been rather inconsistent at times and as such hasn't fully taken over the starting duties in St. Louis this season. Jake Allen is starting Sunday against Detroit, and if he plays well, it's anybody's guess who'll get the keys to the crease in the games that follow. Owners of both will want to keep a close eye on things.
