Colten Teubert will be competing for a roster spot in training camp, but his chances of making the team aren't good. His chances of making the team were obviously hurt by the off-season addition of Justin Schultz. Not including Schultz, Edmonton has eight defensemen signed to one-way contract and Teubert isn't one of them. As a result, the odds of Teubert being a part of the team's opening game roster are pretty slim. That being said, he should play for the Oilers at some point during the 2012-13 campaign as an injury replacement.
