Coach Patrick Roy suggested Tuesday that the Avalanche could shut Winchester (concussion) down for the remainder of the season, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports. "He's not doing well," Roy said of the injured winger. Winchester inked a two-year deal with the Avalanche as a free agent in July, but it looks like his first season in Denver could come without him having logged a single regular-season game. He sustained the concussion in the preseason and continues to experiencing lingering vision issues. Winchester had previously resumed skating and traveling with the team, but he's since halted those activities in recent weeks.
