Coach Guy Boucher would like to see Brassard take more shots, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports. "He fills the net in practice. Now he's got to be a bit more selfish (in games). Right now he's trying to find everybody, but when it's his time to shoot, it's his time to shoot," Boucher stated.

"I'm still happy when we win games but I know I can bring a lot more," said Brassard. The reality is that the center has one goal (and four assists) through 11 games, firing toward net just 26 times. The 29-year-old has always been excellent at setting up his teammates, but his game has been balanced, reaching at least 18 tallies in three straight campaigns with the Rangers. The 2006 No. 6 pick is still finding his groove with the Senators, but it's hard for owners to ignore a 10-game scoreless streak. Brassard is still seeing 17:54 of ice time and 2:54 on the power play, so the opportunity is there. It's possible the coach calling out the center could lead to a few more shots over dishing the puck to his teammates.
