Carter (upper body) has resumed skating and should be back to 100% for the start of training camp, Curtis Zupke of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
An extended absence by Carter would certainly have been a setback to the franchise and fantasy owners alike after back-to-back 62-point seasons. In addition to even-strength, the center contributes in all aspects of the game as he averaged 2:28 and 1:47 on the power play and penalty kill respectively last year. The 31-year-old has yet to show any signs of slowing down and will likely be snagged in the early stages of most drafts, regardless of format.
