Booth was released from his professional tryout offer by the Panthers on Wednesday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.

Booth had a solid year with the Maple Leafs last season, scoring seven goals and six assists in 59 games. He hasn't broken the 30-point threshold since 2010-11 when he was on the Panthers. Booth may latch on with another team or this could be the end of the line for the 30-year-old.
