Morris' slap shot beat a screened Pekka Rinne 3:54 into the first period. It was his third point in the playoffs and second career playoff goal. He played 25:41 in the win. "It was a lucky bounce," Morris said. "We had traffic in front, and it just got through."

Barring an injury or illness, Derek Morris is scheduled to play in his 1,000th game on Sunday. Morris will play in his 999th contest on Saturday. "It's a good honor, obviously," he said. "I haven't thought much about it. The playoff race is way more important than personal accolades but it's a great honor."
