Seidenberg (back) skated with his teammates at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Seidenberg -- who underwent back surgery back on Sept. 24 to address a lumbar spine disc herniation -- did not take any contact during Thursday's session, but he's progressing nonetheless. Initial estimates suggested that the B's sturdy blueliner's return might arrive around mid-November, a timetable that remains plausible at this stage.

Seidenberg (back) began skating Monday but coach Claude Julien indicated he "still isn't close" to returning.
EDGE Analysis
Seidenberg is about two weeks into a six-week timetable given to him Oct. 8, and that seems to be on track given Julien's indication that he's still a ways away. However, he's at least taking some steps forward by returning to the ice.

Seidenberg (back) is slated to miss approximately the next six weeks worth of action.
EDGE Analysis
Seidenberg, who underwent a procedure on his back last month, is thus slated to be out until roughly around Thanksgiving. In his absence, the likes of Zach Trotman, Kevan Miller, Matt Irwin, Joe Morrow and Colin Miller will work behind the trio of Bruins locked into key blue line roles this season, namely Zdeno Chara (when healthy), Torey Krug and Adam McQuaid.

Seidenberg, who is slated to undergo surgery to repair a lumbar spine disc herniation, is expected to miss about eight weeks of action.
EDGE Analysis
Per the report, Seidenberg is expected to make a full recovery, with his absence representing a blow to the depth and experience level of the Bruins' defensive corps in the meantime. While Zdeno Chara, Torey Krug and Adam McQuaid appear locked into key roles to start the season, the likes of Zach Trotman, Kevan Miller, Matt Irwin, Colin Miller and Joe Morrow now figure to jostle for blue line slotting behind that trio.

Seidenberg is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't seem as though the injury is too serious in nature, or something that fantasy owners should be overly concerned about, but Seidenberg's status is worth monitoring over the next few days. The 34-year-old defender registered 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) and 212 hits in 82 games with the Bruins last season.

Seidenberg recorded an assist in 21:47 worth of ice time in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Panthers. One of just two Bruins to play in all 81 of the team's games this season, Seidenberg's resilience can't be questioned, but on the heels of bouncing back from major right knee surgery, the sturdy blueliner has, at times, looked less explosive than in past seasons, en route to notching three goals and 13 points to date.

Seidenberg (illness) returned to the ice Wednesday. Seidenberg missed Tuesday's practice after feeling under the weather, but his presence on the ice puts him in line to suit up for Wednesday's game against the Caps. Heading into the contest, Seidenberg and Carl Soderberg are the only two Bruins who have played in all 79 of the team's games this season.

Seidenberg, who was feeling under the weather, did not practice Tuesday, the Boston Globe reports. That said, coach Claude Julien expects the blueliner to play Wednesday against the Caps, with Joe Morrow on hand in the event that Seidenberg -- who has not missed a game this season -- doesn't. Through 79 contests, Seidenberg has recorded 12 points and 34 PIM, numbers that restrict his fantasy utility to deeper formats.

Seidenberg recorded an assist in 21:05 worth of ice time in Wednesday's loss to the Oilers.Seidenberg, who had gone 12 games without notching a point, has been mentioned as a player the Bruins could consider moving in advance on the NHL trade deadline. Overall, the 33-year-old blueliner has recorded 10 points this season, playing in all 57 of the Bruins' games to date, despite coming off a major knee injury that ended his 2013-14 campaign prematurely.

Seidenberg recorded an assist in 20:51 worth of ice time in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Lightning. Seidenberg, who saw a team-high 4:43 worth of short-handed duty Tuesday, has recorded nine points in 44 games to date to go along with a plus-3 rating, numbers that restrict his fantasy utility to deeper formats. Despite the fact that he is coming off a major knee injury that ended his 2013-14 campaign, the sturdy blueliner has yet to miss a game this season, while averaging 22:09 worth of ice time per contest for the Bruins, a mark topped only by Zdeno Chara (22:44).
