Higgins tallied a short-handed goal on three shots in 13:42 of ice time during Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins scored his first goal since Nov. 8, a span of 27 games played. Since that last goal, he's been bounced back and forth from AHL Utica, and thus hasn't been able to gather much traction this season. Despite playing in 77 games last season, the 32-year-old has only played 30 times this season, with just four points and a -14 rating in those 30 games.

Higgins was recalled back to the NHL on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins played in 22 games in the AHL after being waived by the Canucks in mid-January where he registered nine goals and four helpers. The veteran was averaging 14:03 in ice time per night prior to his reassignment and is likely to see similar numbers in his return to the majors.

Higgins is on his way to AHL Utica after clearing waivers Wednesday, Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province reports.
EDGE Analysis
The organization has already expressed their intent to trade Higgins in an effort to create opportunities for young players, so it appears that they will continue to do so with Higgins in the minors. It's fairly surprising that Higgins decided to report to Utica, as there was speculation that Higgins would seek to have his contract terminated if the Canucks couldn't find a trade partner. If Higgins is to find a new landing spot, he could still provide some fantasy value.

Higgins will be placed on waivers Tuesday, John Shannon of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins recently fell out of favor with coach Willie Desjardins to the point where he's no longer with the team. It was originally thought that Higgins would be trade bait, but apparently he's destined for AHL Utica unless a team claims him off waivers shortly after Tuesday.

Higgins is no longer with the Canucks, and won't play as the team explores options trading him, Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province reports.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins will not play to avoid an injury that could potentially compromise a trade elsewhere. The Canucks are looking to get some younger bodies consistent playing time, making the veteran winger an expendable asset. As a result, he will now await a trade elsewhere, though it's unclear whether he will end up in the NHL or the AHL.

Higgins (undisclosed) will return to the lineup Monday against Los Angeles.
EDGE Analysis
The American forward has missed multiple stretches of the season with undisclosed injuries, and it has really stifled his production. Through 21 games, Higgins has scored just two goals and one assist after scoring 36 points last season. Higgins should feature on one of the Canucks' top-three lines.

Higgins (undisclosed) is on track to return to action Monday against the Kings, Iain MacIntyre of the Vancouver Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins was able to skate with his teammates over the weekend, and he is set to return to action Monday after spending a week on injured reserve. Higgins is having a rough month of December with just one point and a minus-nine rating in eight games.

Higgins (undisclosed) will not play Saturday against the Oilers, Steve Ewen of The Province reports.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins reportedly participated in the morning skate Saturday, which can be viewed as a positive sign despite how he won't draw into Saturday's contest. Desjardins added that Higgins is "looking better," so perhaps the speedy winger will be ready to suit up Monday versus the Kings.

Higgins (undisclosed) will miss Tuesday's game against the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins had been a game time decision but did not make it into Vancouver's forward lines. The 32-year-old winger's next chance to return will come Saturday when the Canucks host the Oilers.

Higgins (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Tuesday against the Lightning, Jon Abbott of TSN 1040 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Higgins has been ice cold this season, grabbing just two goals and one assist in 21 outings. The expectations were high for the 32-year-old after he posted back-to-back seasons with over 35 points, but the winger has failed to make an impact since returning from a preseason foot injury.
