Latch assisted on Tom Wilson's goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
The assist is only the fifth point in 2015-16 for Laich. Relegated to the fourth line and without any power-play time, Laich will struggle to produce with any consistency and is a reach even in deeper formats.

Laich scored his first goal of the 2015-16 season during Thursday's 4-1 over the Bruins
EDGE Analysis
The puck was deflected off Laich's leg into the net, so it was a "garbage goal" in the traditional sense, but the fourth-line forward won't care how it happened. The tally brings his point total to one in 12 games this season, so he's not enough of an offensive force at this point to warrant fantasy consideration.

Laich assisted on Tom Wilson's goal during Washington's 2-0 win over Carolina on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Moved back to center to start preseason, Laich is building some chemistry with Tom Wilson and Jason Chimera in what is likely to be Washington's third line to start the season. Battling a series of injuries over the last few seasons, Laich's days as a 20-goal scoring, top-six forward are clearly behind him. While he should settle in as a serviceable checking-line forward for the Capitals, he isn't likely to have much fantasy value outside very deep leagues in 2015-2016.

Laich scored his first goal of the playoffs during Washington's 5-1 rout of the Islanders in Thursday's Game 5. Laich's marker early in the third period gave the Caps the breathing room they needed to top the Islanders. Now on the fourth line with Michael Latta and Tom Wilson, Laich has a goal and an assist in five playoff games this season.

Laich recorded a goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Carolina, giving him points in three straight games. Laich scored a nice backhanded goal off an equally nice backhanded pass from Jason Chimera in the third period. The tally gives him a goal and three assists in his last three games. Laich has been productive since being moved the the right wing side of the third line opposite Eric Fehr and Chimera, and while he can't be relied upon to keep a point per game pace for very long, he might be worth a look in deeper leagues as long as he's riding this streak.

Laich assisted on two goals in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Rangers. Laich has been enduring a down season almost entirely across the board, but he's increased his production of late as he's now chipped in four assists in the team's last six contests. The 31-year-old's ice time has been consistently decreasing since February as his season average now hovers under 15 minutes per game, so even if he can get on the scoresheet more regularly it may not be enough to warrant attention in most formats.

Laich (upper body) is in line to suit up Sunday against the Bruins, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Based on warmups, Laich is slated to skate on a line with Marcus Johansson and Chris Conner on Sunday.

Laich suffered an upper-body injury in Friday's loss to the Stars and was absent from Saturday's practice, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. Laich has generally held up well on the health front this season compared to the previous two years, but he's still dealt with upper-body injuries on multiple occasions already in 2014-15. The Capitals are considering Laich day-to-day for the moment, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he were forced to miss both games of the Caps' back-to-back set that commences Sunday against the Capitals.

Laich netted a goal and three shots in Washington's 6-1 victory over Buffalo on Saturday. The goal marks Laich's first in 27 games spanning two months, and his first point in the month of March. No longer a fixture in the top-six and power play, to say nothing of no longer being a consistent performer, Laich's fantasy value is confined to all but the deepest of leagues.

Laich will be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jackets, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports. It appears the recent acquisition of Curtis Glencross from the Flames will bump Laich from the lineup. The 31-year-old hasn't provided much offense from his third-line role this season, recording five goals and 14 points in 49 games.
