Coach Joel Quenneville is looking for more from Brandon Bollig.
"We're probably looking for more (from Bollig)," Quenneville said after Bollig was scratched on Sunday. "It's his play and he had a real strong regular season, for the most part. Might just need more pace, I think that's what we're looking for." It isn't clear yet if Bollig will draw back into the lineup for Game 3 on Tuesday night.

To surprise of many, the Chicago Blackhawks made winger Brandon Bollig a healthy scratch against the Minnesota Wild for Game 2 on Sunday.
Bollig played in all 82 regular season games and the Blackhawks' previous seven postseason contests despite pedestrian numbers. He's not a major fantasy impact player but it's still interesting to note.

Brandon Bollig appeared in all 82 games for the Blackhawks this season.
However, Bollig isn't sure if he's guaranteed himself a spot in the lineup for the playoffs. "There are a lot of guys fighting for playing time right now and earning their way in," he said. "It's nice to have that competition - it keeps guys fresh and keeps guys honest. Nobody gets complacent, and everyone's kind of fighting every night. That can be very good for a team because obviously everyone wants to play every game. The competition keeps guys hungry." He finished the year with seven goals and 14 points after not recording a point in his previous 43 NHL outings.

Brandon Bollig scored Chicago's only goal Sunday night in the Blackhawks' 3-1 loss to the visiting Winnipeg Jets.
It was Bollig's sixth goal of the season. The goal was scored early -- 1:21 into the first period, but it pretty well was all Winnipeg after that, with the Jets producing all three of their goals in the third period.

Brandon Bollig ranks third on the Chicago Blackhawks with 86 hits.
Bollig also has eight points and 61 penalty minutes in 39 games this season. He's earned a regular spot as a bottom-six forward, but he isn't likely to climb much further in the Blackhawks depth charts. For that reason, he's only worth owning in deeper leagues that put value on hits.

He recorded an impressive stat line of a game-winning goal, an assist, three shots, two penalty minutes, two hits and a plus-3 rating versus the Jets. Marcus Kruger had two assists in the match, while defenseman Nick Leddy notched a goal and a helper. Patrick Sharp, Ben Smith and Niklas Hjalmarsson had the Hawks' other tallies in the win.

Brandon Bollig registered his first career NHL assist.
It took Bollig 54 games to achieve that. He is good for about two penalty minutes a game, but as you might have guessed he will do very little offensively this season.
