Holtby stopped 37 of 39 shots Saturday in a 3-1 loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby went the distance after leaving Thursday's opener with dehydration issues, and he was terrific against a Boston squad that generated 31 even-strength shots on goal. He was beaten on a penalty shot by Brad Marchand in the first period, and gave up the go-ahead goal to Jake DeBrusk on the doorstep in the final frame. The 32-year-old Holtby owns a .939 save percentage over his first two starts for his new club.

Holtby will start Saturday's road game in Boston, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby left his Stars debut in the third period with dehydration Thursday versus the Rangers. He allowed two goals on 27 shots in the contest, but it appears he won't have to miss any playing time. Anton Khudobin will take the second half of the back-to-back set this weekend with a start in Ottawa on Sunday.

Holtby left Thursday's game versus the Rangers due to being dehydrated, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stars fans can breathe a sigh of relief that this isn't a more serious issue for the 32-year-old. Holtby should be available for one of the two games this weekend, either Saturday in Boston or Sunday in Ottawa, while Anton Khudobin will likely start the other.

Holtby (undisclosed) left Thursday's game versus the Rangers in the third period, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear how exactly Holtby was injured. Prior to his exit, he made 25 saves on 27 shots. Anton Khudobin took over in goal after Holtby departed the game, and an update on the latter's status should surface prior to Saturday's game against the Bruins.

Holtby will tend the twine for Thursday's road clash with the Rangers, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby played in a mere 21 games last year, his lowest total since the 2011-12 campaign when he was still breaking into the league with the Capitals. While the 32-year-old Holtby may not get back to being a 60-game netminder this season, he should at least get a split share of the workload with Anton Khudobin.

Holtby will protect the road goal Saturday versus the Avalanche, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby will at least start the last game of the preseason. He's performed well enough that he'll likely open the season in some sort of time share with Anton Khudobin, as Mike Heika of the Stars' official site believes Jake Oettinger will be sent to AHL Texas to begin the year. How much work Holtby sees is to be determined, but the quality of the Stars' defense compared to the Canucks last year could make him a more viable low-end option in fantasy.

Holtby will defend the cage against the Blues at home Tuesday and is expected to play the full game, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby is trying to secure a spot on the Opening Night roster with the Stars and could certainly improve his case with a strong performance versus St. Louis. The veteran netminder's one-year stint in Vancouver likely won't be remembered fondly considering he went 7-11-3 with a career-worst 3.67 GAA in 21 outings.

Holtby is slated to tend the twine on the road for Monday's preseason meeting with St. Louis, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby is expected to share the crease with Jake Oettinger versus the Blues as the Stars continue to figure out who will see the bulk of the workload this year. With Ben Bishop (knee) slated to begin the year on injured reserve, the goalie situation for Dallas remains murky at best at this point with Holtby, Oettinger and Anton Khudobin all vying for minutes.

Holtby signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Stars on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Holtby struggled with the Canucks last season, going 7-11-3 while posting an ugly 3.67 GAA and .889 save percentage in 31 appearances. Ben Bishop's (knee) health is still a big question mark, so signing Holtby is likely just an insurance policy in case Bishop is unable to get healthy and return to form. If Bishop is able to return to the fold, Holtby will likely have to settle for a No. 3 role behind Anton Khudobin and Bishop if neither netminder is traded.

Holtby was waived by Vancouver on Tuesday to buy out his contract, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was a difficult first, and now only, season with the Canucks for Holtby, as he went 7-11-3 with zero shutouts and career worsts in both GAA (3.67) and save percentage (.889). Still, the two-time NHL All-Star and Stanley Cup champion figures to have multiple offers to come in and, at minimum, compete for a share of the starts next season.
