Boyes scored an unassisted goal in Tuesday's loss to the Bruins. Boyes reached the 36-point mark for the second straight season with his 13th goal of the season on Tuesday. Boyes isn't the same scorer he was a few years ago, when he scored 55 or more points three times in four seasons between 2007 and 2011, but Boyes can still provide a veteran presence. He has limited fantasy value as the Panthers come down the home stretch.

Boyes set up Jussi Jokinen's second-period goal in Tuesday's loss to the Lightning. Boyes hasn't done much to gain much momentum as a fantasy commodity this season, but with 12 goals, 35 points, and a plus-9 rating over 71 games, he's been a perfectly serviceable depth forward for the Panthers. With the assist in Tuesday's loss, he's now reached the 35-point mark in all but one of his 10 full seasons in the NHL.

Boyes scored an unassisted goal in the Panthers' 4-3 win over the Lightning on Sunday. After a goalless month in February, Boyes added his 11th of the season in the second period on Sunday. Coming off a three assist game, Boyes now has five points in his past four games. The 32-year-old also contributed two penalty minutes and a plus-1 plus/minus on the day. His plus-9 plus/minus is tops of players still on the team and could have value in the home-stretch of the season in deeper leagues.

Boyes set up three goals in Saturday's 5-3 victory over the visiting Sabres. With the trio of apples, Boyes is now back over the 0.5 points-per-game hump with 31 in 60 contests this season. Also, despite having not recorded a shot on goal in the last two games, he's sitting at 121 this year -- which amounts to an average of two per game -- so there's certainly value to be had here in many leagues. With that in mind, as long as you don't expect anything resembling the player that once potted 43 goals (2007-08) and 72 points (2008-09) with St. Louis, the 32-year-old should be able to help your team.

Boyes collected a pair of assists in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Rangers. Boyes is having one of his most productive stretches of the season as he's now got four points in four games after Monday's multi-point effort. The 32-year-old has just 24 points (10 goals) on the year though, so his fantasy upside is limited in most formats.

Boyes picked up an assist in Thursday's win over the Blue Jackets. The 32-year-old hasn't scored frequently enough this season to make him an asset in anything more than deeper formats, but January has been his best month to date. He's notched four goals and three assists over 11 games.

Boyes joined in the fun Friday, grabbing a goal and an assist in a thrilling 6-5 win over the Flames. Boyes was one of nine (!) players to post a multi-point performance in this one, bringing his season total to eight goals and 18 points in the process. The Panthers are very much doing their scoring by committee, with their top six leading scorers lumped into the 18-24 point range, so we'd caution not to expect anything too prolific from the one-time 72-point man.

Boyes scored the game-winning goal and had five shots on goal Friday against Buffalo. Boyes now has seven goals and 16 points in 34 games, to go with a plus-one rating. Skating on the second line, the former 40-goal scorer is a decent fantasy option on a Panthers team that is 3-1-1 in their past five games. The 32-year-old should come close to the 40-point mark in 2014-15.

Boyes was a healthy scratch for Monday's game against the Penguins. Boyes had been battling a back injury in recent days, and though he's now ostensibly healthy, it seems coach Gerard Gallant just wanted to give him an extended rest with a four-day Christmas break set to come for the Panthers. Veteran Tomas Fleischmann was rested in a similar vein, with youngsters Jimmy Hayes and Brandon Pirri drawing into the lineup in their places.

Boyes (upper body) will return to the lineup Saturday against the Penguins, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Boyes was a surprise scratch Thursday against the Flyers due to the injury, but since he was able to practice Friday, the Panthers never considered the ailment to be serious. Brandon Pirri will head back to the press box Saturday in order for Boyes to reclaim his spot in the lineup.
