The Phoenix Coyotes managed to complete their dismal regular season on a winning note, defeating the visiting Dallas Stars 2-1 Sunday night. Captain Shane Doan scored one of the Phoenix goals. It was his 23rd of the season. David Moss, with his eighth of the season, scored the Coyotes' game winner late in the third period. With the win, the avoided going into a disappointingly early offseason with memories of an eight-game winless streak. "Nobody ever wants to be in this situation," Doan said before the game. "We've got to find a way to end this stupid streak we're on." They did.
