Bobby Ryan underwent successful sports hernia surgery Thursday. That's the good news. Of course the bad news is that Ryan won't play again this season. It has come out over the last few days that Ryan had been suffering from the hernia injury since November. Perhaps all of us who criticized his play since being snubbed by the U.S. Olympic selection committee owe Ryan an appology. If he were playing hurt, he should get a bit of slack for his lackluster work the last few months.
