Alain Vigneault is "very confident" that Ryan Callahan will re-sign with the Rangers. In speaking to the media prior to the Rangers' loss to the Flyers, Vigneault was upbeat about Callahan's chances of staying with the team. "Well, I'm very confident that the other half will get done, also," Vigneault said. ... "Ryan's the captain of this team. You guys all know what he brings to the table and what he brings to this team on a daily basis, so Dan (Girardi) got done, and I always said I've been optimistic and positive, and I'm positive and optimistic that this is going to get done - I hope." News reports have indicated that if the Rangers can't come to an agreement with Callahan before the 3p.m. ET March 5 deadline, general manager Glen Sather will trade him.
