Erik Johnson wasn't among the blueliners selected to compete at the Winter Olympics for the United States. He was passed over for players with less international experience. Johnson represented the U.S. at the 2010 Winter Games and he played for his country at the 2013 World Championships. He is also enjoying a strong season with the Colorado Avalanche in 2013-14. He has 17 points and a plus-10 rating in 39 games.
