Dennis Wideman (broken hand) took part in Saturday's practice. Wideman hadn't skated with his teammates since he sustained the injury on Nov. 27. Although this was obviously a step in the right direction, it's worth noting that he was wearing a non-contact jersey. He might be able to return in about a week, but there's no firm timetable.
