Eric Fehr potted the lone goal for Washington as it fell 5-1 to the Avalanche on Saturday night. The Capitals certainly had enough chances, but only Fehr's early third-period goal beat Semyon Varlamov. Jason Chimera and Joel Ward picked up the assists. Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin finished a game-low minus-three on the night.
