R.J. Umberger endured a horrific start to the 2011-12 season before he managed to salvage it a bit at the end. He scored a mere three goals and added just four assists in the first 24 games of the year. Umberger tallied 13 markers and 20 points in his final 28 contests to reach the 20-goal plateau for a fourth straight campaign. His 18:11 of average ice time was his lowest in four seasons with the Blue Jackets, but with Rick Nash (19:05) gone his minutes should increase. If he can bounce back in 2012-13 then he should get back to the 50-point mark.
