Calgary coach Brent Sutter is looking for more offense from defenseman Jay Bouwmeester. Bouwmeester had only four goals and 24 points last season, but has scored 15 goals twice in his career so the offensive talent is there. The Flames took him off the first power play unit last season as they have a better shooter from the point in Anton Babchuk, but Sutter likes his ability to create offense in five-on-five situations. "You want him to create more offense," Sutter said. "You want to allow him to play to his strengths. His strength is his skating ability. You want to allow him to become the fourth man on a rush." If Bouwmeester jumps into the play more often, he can return to the 40 point mark.
