Briere will return to the Avs lineup on Thursday when Colorado plays the Rangers, Adrian Dater of the Denver Post reports. Briere has been a healthy scratch for the past six games after struggling to start the season. Briere was acquired in the offseason from Montreal to try and give the Avs some offensive production but he has failed to do so far. Following Colorado's 6-0 loss to the Islanders on Tuesday, this may be Avs' coach Patrick Roy trying to mix things up a bit but Briere should still be ignored in most leagues until he starts producing offensively.
