Parise has been diagnosed with a concussion, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The news doesn't necessarily change Parise's recovery timeline, as the Wild had previously ruled him out for the entirety of their three-game road trip that kicks off Thursday. He'll be evaluated by team doctors over the coming days in attempt to ascertain how much progress he's making, but the unpredictably nature of head injuries makes it difficult to project an expected return date for the forward. While Parise remains out, Thomas Vanek is expected to get the first crack at filling in for him on the top line next to Mikael Granlund and Jason Pominville.
