Pavelec put a stop to 21 of 22 shots Tuesday in a 3-1 win over Carolina. He'd given up four goals in his last outing and lost three straight decisions, but Pavelec has actually been playing pretty well to open the season. He's appeared in six games and delivered very fine work in four of them. Of course, facing the winless Hurricanes is a cure for what ails nearly any goaltender right now.
