Zajac's first point of the campaign came on a rebound shot in the first period, after goalie Evgeni Nabokov turned away his initial effort. Those attempts would go down as the only shots on the night for Zajac, who has been largely deferential to his mates in the Devils' first three games. He's attempted only three shots, despite averaging 17:54 of ice time, including 2:34 on the power play.
