Diaz and the Flames agreed to a one-year deal Monday, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reports. Diaz was invited to training camp and parlayed the tryout into a deal worth a reported $700,000. The 28-year-old will likely be one of the lowest guys on the defensive totem pole, but will provide solid depth at that spot on the roster nonetheless.
