Pominville had a strong preseason, finishing with three goals and five assists in four games played. Even at 31, Pominville continued to put up good numbers last season with 30 goals and 30 assists and is projected to put up similar numbers this year. Pominville will be paired up with either Mikael Granlund or Mikko Koivu at center and Zach Parise on the other wing on the Wild's first line, so Pominville will see ample playing time this season.
