Simmonds (lower body) practiced with the team Monday, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports. Simmonds was wearing extra padding on both skates, and while the exact nature of his injury is still unknown, it's encouraging that he was back at practice. There should be an update on his condition prior to the team's season opener Wednesday against the Bruins.
