Nick Spaling has filed for salary arbitration. The restricted free agent was acquired by Pittsburgh, along with Patric Hornqvist, in exchange for James Neal at the NHL draft this past June. He notched career highs with 13 goals and 32 points in 71 games last season with the Predators.
